Day of the Undead Review

A superb turnout at the Pheonix in Leicester helped make the Day of the Undead film festival a bloody hit. Gore fans turned up in their droves to watch some of the finest horror films to date including Peter 'Lord of the rings' Jackson's Braindead and George A. Romero's Day of the Dead.

Also there on the day was Special FX guru Stuart Conran. He's worked on little known films such as Hellraiser, Saving Private Ryan, Shaun of the Dead... and other films I'm sure you've never heard of... ahem. DWE's Gav was also there throwing blood and gore all over people. Great stuff.

It's also worth mentioning that DWE's very own short film 'Zombie Undead' was played at the festival. Goresome.

Terror4fun's Zombie Ed seemed impressed with the days events. 'To be honest the day went amazingly well. The turnout was superb, I think we sold something like 800 tickets in the day... that's roughly 150 tickets per film. Also worth mentioning is that fact that we sold more alcohol in one day than the pheonix has sold in it's 20 year history. Superb!'

All in all a superb day. Keep your eyes open for the next one!
